This cycle we are featuring Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 82. This package includes a 10 foot input power cable, work cable with clamp and SL60 hand torch with a 75-Degree head. The amperage range is from 20 - 80 Amps. The recommended cut is 3/4 inch, with a maximum cut of 1 1/2 inches. The cutting duty cycle is 40% at the rated 80 amps. This will extend to 100 % at 55 Amps. A roll bar protects this rugged production unit.
It has several arc options selectable by a switch on the front panel.
1. SET - Use this position to purge air through the unit and the torch to adjust the gas pressure.
2. RUN - This position is for general cutting operations.
3. RAPID AUTO START - This position allows for faster re-starting for uninterrupted cutting across open spaces such as expanded metal.
4. LATCH - Use this switch position for longer hand held cuts. Once activated, the torch switch can then be released. The arc will stay on until the arc is broken or the torch switch is activated again.
There is a series of six individual lights on the front panel to show how your machine is functioning. This will help you to troubleshoot any problems you may have.
1. The AC indicator light will show power to the machine.
2. The Temperature indicator light will come on when the internal temperature exceeds the normal operating limits.
3. The Gas indicator light is on when you have the minimum gas pressure applied to the machine.
4. The DC indicator light comes on when the DC output is activated.
5. Fault indicator light. When this light is on or blinking, a chart in the operating manual will tell you what is wrong with your machine such as Over / Under Pressure, Shorted Torch, Consumables Missing, or a problem with the input power.
6. The Pressure indicator light will light up indicating the operating pressure from min. to maximum in 5-psi increments.
In the protective apparel department, we have added the 24C premium TIG Glove from Tillman. This glove is made of top grain, smooth pearl, kidskin leather. This glove does not have a lining so you can feel and feed the wire smoothly. This glove is stitched with strong and fire resistant Kevlar Thread. We stock them in S-M-L and XL sizes.
With warm weather here, sometimes it is just too hot to wear all the protective gear we should. So we now stock Black Stallion's Long Sleeve, Flame Resistant T-Shirts. These comfortable cotton Flame Resistant treated shirts have been tested to retain their flame resistance for up to 50 home laundry cycles. We stock these in Navy Blue. Sizes M-L-XL and 2XL.
